Billing Policy

At SRMG we take pride in our unwavering commitment to providing quality care to all our patients.

 

This does however come at a significant cost, which is unfortunately not matched by the current Medicare Rebate (“Bulk-Billing”). We therefore charge private fees in most instances.

 

We are committed to ensuring that no-one is marginalised due to their inability to afford a co-payment and as such continue to offer “Bulk-billing” to valid pension card holders during regular business hours, which are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm*.

 

Payment can be made easily with Cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card and with Medicare EasyClaim, rebates are paid back into your account within minutes.

 

*Please note:

  • All visiting patients from outside the Great Southern Region will be privately billed regardless of concession eligibility.
  • Appointments during regular business hours with our “on-call” doctor will be privately billed.
  • All services provided in our Treatment Rooms will be subject to a private fee to help cover our equipment and facilities, consumables and nurse assistance.
  • We kindly ask for at least 2 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. This allows us to offer your appointment time to another patient in need and helps keep our clinic running smoothly.
  • Non-attendance without notice impacts other patients’ access to care and increases costs for the practice. For this reason, a non-attendance fee will apply if adequate notice is not provided.
