Thanks to the great work that Albany, and Western Australia for that matter, has done during the coronavirus pandemic over the past few months, the state government continues to ease restrictions. With no evidence of community spread of COVID-19 in WA, we will now be entering phase 4 of the easing of restrictions from tomorrow (Saturday 27th June).
With that, we at Southern Regional Medical Group will continue to focus our efforts on a safe and thorough assessment of patients, including those with flu like symptoms.
For patients with flu like symptoms, we are now resuming face to face appointments with your GP in the practice. Telehealth appointments will continue to be available for those who would prefer it.
If you have cold or flu like symptoms and would like to book an appointment with one of our GP’s, please call the practice on 9845 9000. Our receptionists will follow a short screening process and will guide you through the process and the extra precautions we need to take to ensure you are seen in safe manner.
It is clear from the overseas and interstate experience that the fight is not over and we need to continue to be vigilant. At SRMG we will continue to respect the social distancing guidelines and use regular hand washing and cleaning. We pride ourselves in providing a quality service to our patients in a way which is safe for our staff, patients and the community.
