The theme for World Diabetes Day 2020 is “The Nurse and Diabetes”. This year the aim is to raise awareness around the crucial role that nurses play in supporting people living with Diabetes. Here at SRMG we have some pretty amazing nurses who will be able to answer your questions and provide guidance in your Pre-Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, or Type 1 or 2 Diabetes journey.
World Diabetes Day (WDD) is marked on 14th November every year, the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin along with Dr Charles Best in 1922.
WDD is a global campaign reaching 160 countries and over 1 billion people, represented by the blue circle above, signifying the unity of the global diabetes community.
