At SRMG we are committed to providing comprehensive health care to our Australian Defence Force Veterans.
All of the GP’s at SRMG provide comprehensive care to ADF Veterans and it is our policy to Bulk Bill all eligible services for DVA Health Card holders (during normal business hours).
Additionally, Dr Phil Marmion is a former Naval Medical Officer, a current Reservist and a member of the Albany RSL. He has a special interest in providing care to ADF Veterans.
As a Gold Card holder, you may be eligible for the DVA Coordinated Veteran’s Care Program that is aimed at assisting veterans to self-manage their chronic condition.
With regular support contacts from our practice nurse, ongoing needs are monitored and necessary health and social services are coordinated to keep you well and active in the community for as long as possible.
Australian Defence Force service personnel who were discharged from 1st July 2019 are eligible for an annual health check for the first 5 years. The health check is a comprehensive physical and mental health assessment, aimed at identifying needs early and getting the services and support required during the transitioning period.
If you were discharge before the 1st July 19, you are eligible for one health assessment per lifetime.
