Telehealth uses videoconferencing to connect you with your specialist and improves your access to clinical services closer to home.

How does Telehealth work?

When you attend a telehealth appointment at SRMG, you will be accompanied by either a Nurse or Doctor. They will help co-ordinate the appointment with the specialist, provide relevant clinical information and document the consult in your medical file.

Examples of common telehealth appointments:

  • Pre-surgical review
  • Post-surgical progress
  • Ongoing reviews of clinical conditions

What are the benefits of Telehealth?

One of the key benefits of Telehealth is that it provides access to specialists in Perth and all over Australia without having the cost and inconvenience of traveling to them for an appointment.

It is important to note that Telehealth is not suitable or appropriate in all circumstances. If you would like to use telehealth, first speak with your specialist to see if it is a service they offer.
